Happy birthday, Samir!

MILANO - An important milestone for Samir Handanovic. Born on 14 July 1984 in Ljubljana, the former Nerazzurri goalkeeper and captain, who wore the Inter shirt for more than a decade, celebrates his 40th birthday today. Samir spent ten years with the Nerazzurri, collecting 455 appearances and joining Ivan Cordoba in tenth position in the Club's all-time appearance rankings. He kept 166 clean sheets in those 455 games. Reliability, leadership and great technique were the qualities that distinguished him for Inter and were instrumental in helping the Club win one Scudetto league title, two Coppa Italia trophies and two Supercoppa Italiana.
