— Dec 4th 20232022/23 awards handed out in the latest edition of the event organised by the Italian Footballers' Association
It was a night of awards for Inter at the Gran Galà del Calcio AIC, an event organised by the Italian Footballers' Association to reward the best performers over the previous Serie A season, in this case 2022/23. Now in its eleventh edition, it took place at the Superstudio Maxi in Milano and was an evening full of sport and entertainment among some of the game's biggest names. Three Nerazzurri players were included in the 2022/23 Top 11: Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolò Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.
“It’s the fifth consecutive year I’ve been included and it’s a real source of pride for me; it makes me really happy. The fact that it’s us players who vote honestly and with a feeling of mutual admiration makes me appreciate this award even more. Last season was a fantastic and very intense campaign. There was both joy and pain, but that’s football and life for you.”
Nicolò Barella
“We did some great work last season and are on the right track now. We’re happy and need to keep it up. Did the 2022/23 campaign help you become the great player we see today? Yes, thanks to my teammates and the Club. They’ve really helped me, are absolutely fantastic and have supported me from my first day here.”
Hakan Calhanoglu
Alessandro Bastoni appeared on the Gran Galà del Calcio stage for the very first time:
“It’s great to be here because it’s the players, the professionals out on the pitch, who do the voting, which is something that fills me with even more pride.”
Alessandro Bastoni
Inter goalkeeper Francesca Durante was included in the women's Top 11 for her performances in 2022/23.
“It’s a great honour and a source of real pride to be recognised by the players of the women’s Serie A division; it’s a sign of esteem. I’d like to thank all of those who voted for me, the Club for giving me confidence and my teammates, who help me and drive me to do my best every single day.”

In addition to being included in the women’s Top 11, former Inter striker Tabitha Chawinga, now at Paris Saint-Germain, won the best overall player award after her displays in Nerazzurre colours.
