Inter score five past Frosinone
Team
— May 10th 2024A ruthless display from the Nerazzurri, with Frattesi, Arnautovic, Buchanan (his first Inter goal!), Lautaro and Thuram getting on the scoresheet
Five goals and a return to winning ways, with the Nerazzurri faithful also getting to celebrate on the road. The Champions of Italy overwhelmed Frosinone at the Stadio Benito Stirpe and will return to Milano three points and five goals better off. Indeed, it finished 5-0 to Inter in Frosinone, and that’s despite the fact that the hosts played well for long periods. However, they were thwarted by the excellent Sommer, the bar and several big defensive interventions from Inzaghi’s men.
At the other end of the pitch, the Nerazzurri were, quite simply, ruthless, striking at the right moments. Frattesi once again found the net to continue his fantastic goals-to-minutes ratio this campaign. Barella provided plenty of inspiration and was involved in the move that led to the second goal of the evening, which was scored by Arnautovic (his third in Serie A in 2023/24). Buchanan then bagged with a fine right-footed finish, his first in Nerazzurri colours. With ten minutes to go, Lautaro, who was without a goal since the end of February, returned to the scoresheet. Finally, Thuram added a fifth with a lovely dink on the counter. 5-0, a headed effort off the bar (Bisseck from an Asllani corner) and plenty of smiles ahead of Inter vs. Lazio at 18:00 CEST on Sunday 19 May, when we’ll have the opportunity to celebrate together again.
