Euro 2024, Arnautovic on the scoresheet in Austria victory

— Jun 21st 2024A decisive performance from the Nerazzurri striker against Poland
Marko Arnautovic produced a great performance against Poland in Austria's second match in Group D. In the 78th minute, the Nerazzurri striker stepped up and sent Szczesny the wrong way from the penalty spot to seal a 3-1 victory for the Austrians.
Arnautovic, who started the game after coming off the bench in Austria's opening fixture against France, constantly troubled the opposition defence. In addition to his spot-kick, he made a vital contribution to Baumgartner's 66th-minute goal, producing a lovely dummy that fooled the defender and left his teammate with the space to add the finish.
It was a convincing win for Austria, who, after taking the lead through Trauner (9'), were pegged back by Piatek's 30th-minute equaliser but ultimately prevailed in the second half. The Austrians now have three points to their name and will play their final group match against the Netherlands at 18:00 CEST on Tuesday 25 June.
