He will remember this wet Salento evening for a very long time. In the 76th minute of Lecce vs. Inter, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro made his debut for Inter. It was a weekend full of commitments and emotions for the Nigerian midfielder born in 2004. On Saturday, he played 65 minutes for the Primavera team, in the derby drawn 1-1. Then, he flew to Lecce with the first team and a quarter of an hour from the end came on, wearing the number 41 jersey, to replace Davide Frattesi. The 26th player to make an appearance for Inter this season, Akinsanmiro becomes the ninth Nigerian player to have played at least one official match in an Inter shirt. His previous compatriots were: Nwankwo Kanu, Taribo West, Obafemi Martins, Isah Eliakwu, Victor Obinna, Obiora Nwankwo, Joel Obi and Victor Moses. Since January 2023, Ebenezer has played for the Nerazzurri Primavera. He joined the Club after an excellent 2022 Viareggio Tournament: Akinsanmiro played in the Alex Transfiguration Academy, an academy in Lagos (Nigeria) who were the surprise package by reaching the final of the prestigious U18 international tournament (beaten by Sassuolo). A dynamic midfielder, with lots of energy and work-rate, he combines this with a great technique in tight areas. Flashes of his game were seen in the final minutes of the match in Lecce, where he played 13 successful passes.
