“We were up against a strong side and showed character, desire and focus. At times, you have to dig in during the closing stages and such moments can happen during a game, also because we came into it on the back of playing extra time in Madrid. A bit of fatigue can set in. We’re disappointed because we wanted to win, but a draw isn’t going to halt all the good work we’ve been doing for many months now. We could have made more of a few opportunities, but that’s football for you. Napoli are the reigning Italian champions, have started playing like they did last season and are a team that need to be respected. Now, we’ll recover a bit during the international break and focus on our national teams. When we return, we’ll have to go again even stronger and display maturity until the very end. We’ve had a few complicated moments during the season even when we’ve won. We need to carry on our great work. We mustn’t make calculations; it’s something I’ve learnt during my career. We’ll take it game by game.”
