Inter will face Bologna in the Coppa Italia round of 16. The Rossoblù beat Hellas Verona 2-0 at the Dall'Ara to move on to the next round.
Inter vs. Bologna is scheduled for Wednesday 20 December at 21:00 CET at San Siro. The team that wins will move straight through to the quarter-finals.
Inter, holders of the trophy and top seed, is positioned in the upper left part of the table, together with last year’s finalists, Fiorentina (a potential meeting in the quarter-finals); also on the left-hand side are Atalanta and AC Milan, who will enter in the round of 16.

Inter and Bologna will be back to play at San Siro for the second time this season after the 2-2 league draw.
It will be the 21st time that Inter and Bologna have met in the Coppa Italia: the previous results see 13 Nerazzurri wins, 4 Rossoblù wins, and 3 draws. The first meeting between the two was in 1942 (Bologna 2-0 Inter), and the first Nerazzurri win came in 1968 (Bologna 0-2 Inter, Suarez, Facchetti). The last two games were particularly spectacular, both ending 3-2 for Inter after the extra-time.
2013: RANOCCHIA IN EXTRA-TIME On 15 January 2013, Inter and Bologna faced off in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. The Nerazzuri had a two-goal advantage through Guarin and Palacio. In the last moments of the game, Diamanti and Gabbiadini scored two clamorous goals to make it 2-2 and send the match to extra-time. Zanetti almost bagged the winner but hit the woodwork, then Ranocchia heads it in from the corner to seal the victory: 3-2 and Inter on to the semi-finals.
2017: MURILLO'S BICYCLE-KICK
On 18 January 2017, Inter and Bologna played in the round of 16. Inter opened the scoring with a beautiful bicycle-kick from Murillo, and Palacio made it 2-0 before Bologna got one back through Dzemaili. In the 72nd minute, Donsah equalised for the Rossoblù, taking the game to extra-time. In the 102nd minute, Candreva scored the decisive goal that sent Inter through to the next round.
