— Feb 1st 2024As part of the club’s Chinese New Year 2024 celebrations, a special hero video has been released featuring Sommer, Bisseck and Mkhitaryan. The first team will also take to the pitch to face Roma wearing a festive limited-edition jersey
Inter is delighted to welcome the Year of the Dragon! In order to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2024, the club has put together a special video featuring three players and designed a limited-edition jersey in line with club tradition in recent years, featuring player names in Chinese characters.
The club’s activities linked to the lunar new year focus on the dragon, a zodiac sign that is intrinsically linked to Chinese culture and history. The hero video essentially revisits the traditional legends associated with the mythological creature with a Nerazzurri twist to it. The protagonists are Yann Sommer, Yann Bisseck and Henrik Mkhitaryan, all of whom were born in the Year of the Dragon. Each of them is created in 2D animation as a different type of dragon reflecting their attributes as footballers within the context of Chinese culture.
A special limited-edition jersey has also been designed for this occasion, featuring player names in Chinese characters and personalised shirt numbers showcasing the logo of the Chinese New Year 2024, which sees a dragon encircling the traditional Inter crest. For the very first time, it will be the club’s away jersey that takes centre stage at the heart of the activation for the Chinese New Year.
The jersey will be donned by the first team for Roma-Inter on Saturday 10 February at 18:00 CET and will be on sale as of Tuesday 6 February as a limited-edition purchase with personalised versions for Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Nicolo Barella and Federico Dimarco available on store.inter.it and at Inter Stores in Galleria Passarella, Dante and San Siro.
