“We’ve worked well this week and had time to improve and put in the hard graft. It was important to win against a side with high-quality players who know how to play. We did our job and responded well after the Verona match. We made an excellent start and took control in the opening 20 minutes before coming away with a comfortable victory. I’d like to thank my fans and teammates, all of whom give me lots of strength. I always try to give my all for them and the team. I’ve grown, that’s for sure, and I really like playing in this role. In training, we get very competitive with each other, but there’s a very positive atmosphere in the changing room. What you see on the pitch is what we’re like off it. We’re a family both on and off the field; we’re friends and it shows. Now, we want to defend the Supercoppa title we won last year: this is our objective. ”

“We studied the mistakes we made against Verona in order to avoid repeating them this evening. We fought hard and produced a fantastic performance, allowing us to quickly kill off the game.
