— Nov 29th 2023A brilliant second half from the Nerazzurri, who come from 3-0 down to draw thanks to goals from Arnautovic, Frattesi and Sanchez
A night of a thousand emotions. At the Estadio Da Luz in Lisbon, Inter came from behind to draw 3-3 with Benfica on matchday 5 in Champions League Group D. It was a game of two halves, with the hosts dominating the opening period and taking a 3-0 lead thanks to a hat-trick from Joao Mario. However, the Nerazzurri responded brilliantly in the second half, scoring through Arnautovic, Frattesi and, finally, an Alexis penalty. 3-3, and more drama was to come in the closing stages as Antonio Silva saw red and Barella hit the post in stoppage time for a Nerazzurri side going all out to win it.
Simone Inzaghi’s men didn’t quite manage to net a winner and remain level on points with Real Sociedad, who drew 0-0 with Salzburg. It means that Inter will have to beat the Spanish side at San Siro on 12 December to finish top of the group.
