Inter emerged victorious away to Venezia thanks to Darmian's goal, meaning the Nerazzurri sit second with 43 points ahead of Wednesday's rearranged clash against Bologna at San Siro. Asllani's ball over the top led to the winning goal, and both the Albanian and Nicolò Barella gave their thoughts after the game:
“It was important to bounce back and pick up three points; now, we need to keep this up. I’m happy and try to make the most of the opportunities I’m given. We studied Venezia, who made things difficult for us at San Siro, so we’re satisfied with this win. We always need to be ready. There were some absences today, and those of us who played are happy. We need everyone. We must improve in terms of putting games to bed earlier, but we didn’t concede, which is very important.”

Asllani: «I'm very happy, these are three important points»
“It's always a tough few days after a defeat, especially in a derby where a trophy was up for grabs, but we’re a great team that know how to bounce back and respond well to criticism. We like to let the pitch do the talking. Darmian has a knack for scoring on rebounds, and he’s an example to follow every time he steps onto the pitch. All we can do is pay him our compliments and thank him for what he gives us. Now, we have many matches coming up in the space of a few days; we need everyone and have to manage our energy levels well. We know it’s tough, but we’re ready. The important thing is to have everyone available because it’s the group that helps you win. ”
