— Jul 12th 2023The 40-year-old goalkeeper leaves the Nerazzurri after two seasons and a haul of four trophies
Alex Cordaz and Inter part ways following a 24-year story. After coming through the Youth Sector at the Club and making his first team debut here, he had a long career in the game before coming back home for two intense seasons.
Following victories in the Viareggio Tournament and the Primavera league, Cordaz made his professional debut with Inter in a Coppa Italia match against Juventus in 2004. His long spell away from the Nerazzurri, at clubs in Italy and abroad, ended in 2021 when he returned to the Club. He soon became a key figure in the dressing room and, in two years, Alex went on to win four major honours here. On the final matchday of Serie A 2022/23, he made his long-awaited debut appearance for Inter in the top flight, with that very same number 19 on his back that he wore for his first-ever appearance with the Nerazzurri.
The entire Inter family would like to bid Alex a fond farewell and a heartfelt thank you.
