Lautaro unleashed: "Taking Inter to the top"

MILAN – One was a powerful volley, the other a delicate chip. The first served to get Inter off to the best possible start, the second to send the Nerazzurri into the dressing room for the half time break feeling a great sense of relief and control. Lautaro Martinez’s two strikes were worth their weight in gold, and following the conclusion of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa match he spoke to Mediaset:

“I’m delighted because we’re through and in another final. We're working hard to take Inter to the top and this came into fruition today. The fans are over the moon and so are we. Now we need to recover and look ahead to the next game.

“I give my all for this shirt; I aim to leave the pitch at the end of every game drenched in sweat. I was keen to play a big role in today’s game because my parents, wife, and daughter were all in attendance. They give me so much unwavering support; I’d like to dedicate these two goals to them.

“Looking ahead to the rest of the season, we’re feeling calm and taking each game as it comes. We’ve got six to go and they’ll all be challenging.”
