Having recently scooped the award of Player of the Month for April Marcelo Brozovic has now been crowned the Serie A 2021/22 Midfielder of the Season.
Lega Serie A have outlined their criteria for the selection of the player of the season. Player rankings were derived from advanced analysis by Stats Perform, who acquired tracking data via the Hawk-Eye system. It takes into account not only statistical data and specific events, but also positional information.
This analysis delves into important factors such as off-the-ball movement, pass selection, a player's contribution to how their team performs on both a physical and technical level, all of which allow for a qualitative and objective analysis of a player's output.

La classifica è stata redatta tenendo conto delle analisi evolute di Stats Perform, realizzate a partire dai dati tracking registrati con il sistema Hawk-Eye, considerando non soltanto i dati statistici e gli eventi tecnici, ma anche i dati posizionali.
L'analisi ha toccato aspetti cruciali come il movimento senza palla e dunque i movimenti ottimali, le scelte di gioco, il contributo all’efficienza tecnica e fisica della squadra, che permettono una valutazione oggettiva e qualitativa della prestazione. Per il calcolo finale sono state considerate tutte le partite disputate in Serie A TIM (ad esclusione della 38ª giornata).
