MILAN - A low ball whipped across the danger zone met by an onrushing player sneaking in behind the opposition defence. Robin Gosens’ first Inter goal was a trademark strike by the German, and he was keen to share his thoughts with Mediaset after the Nerazzurri sealed their place in the Coppa Italia final:
“While it wasn’t the best goal I’ve ever scored it’s perhaps one of the most important. I’m delighted for it. I always try to make it to the far post; it’s hard for defenders to track me. I’m happy to have scored and to have been able to contribute to the team.
“We were desperate to reach the final and we’ve deservedly done so based on how we played this evening. This win can spur us on for the end of season run-in; we’ve got six crucial games ahead of us and we want to win every game that we have ahead of us.
“Playing for Inter is an important challenge for me. The club gets the best out of you and I’m loving being part of this team.”
