Inter seen through the eyes of Milanese artists in Made of Milano

Our world is our city, Milan, and our club, Inter. They’re not just a backdrop to the lives we live; rather they take centre stage. They’ve written a story made up of triumphs, tales, a constant desire to innovate, a trademark style, and a ever-flowing stream of inspiration.

The link between Inter and the city it calls home has been told through the many souls who inhabit Milan, those who give the place its vitality and lustre. This time around it’s done through the involvement of upcoming creative talents, all in the name of the greatness of the Nerazzurri.

Made of Milano: Stories is an undertaking which blends a burning love for Inter and the raw talent of Milanese artists who, through their eyes and their works, are able to offer a multi-faceted perspective on the link between the city and the club. If Milan is the metaphorical playground on which its inhabitants make their mark and draw inspiration, then the resulting outcome of this can take many forms: photographs, stories, films, works of art, and much more. 

The first star of Made of Milano: Stories is Toni Brugnoli. He’s a Milanese photographer, an Inter fan, and a venerated figure in the Italian underground during the 2000s. In this project Brugnoli is accompanied by Pietro Cabrio and together they combine their passion for the world of sport, the ability to capture its essence, and the love which they feel through experiencing it. It’s a mélange of images and words which detail certain moments at San Siro as seen through the eyes of Inter fans, split across five separate parts.

Time may pass and distances may grow or diminish but there’s always a passion for Inter lying within us ready to be rekindled. Many fans’ lives pivot around matchdays, press conferences, and player transfers; each event is an important yardstick for us in our calendars. Rituals have been passed down the generations and repeated in the same sacred place, locations and moments that only we truly understand. Since we started experiencing them all over again we realised how much they mean to us and the true unique Nerazzurri value they hold.

@tonibrugnoli and @pietrocabrio are the first two protagonists of Made Of Milano: Stories. They present a project which brings together words and images describing the stadium experience as seen through the eyes of Inter fans, split into five parts. It’s a tribute to fandom; to those who have shared their devotion to the club and those with whom we experience it. It’s a story of the places we have frequented throughout a lifetime cheering on Inter and the city which it calls home, Milan.
