Check out some of the facts after the away win at Juventus

TURIN -  Hakan Calhanoglu’s penalty saw Inter come away with a fantastic, hard-fought victory on Sunday. This 0-1 win gives the Nerazzurri some momentum back as they head into the final league games of the season, putting Simone Inzaghi’s men on 63 points with eight games left to play.

It’s the eleventh time that Inter have emerged victorious from a trip to Juventus since the 1929/30 season (to which another could be added after 0-2 walkover handed to the Nerazzurri in 1983). The last time Inter won at Juve’s home ground was in November 2012, when Diego Milito put two past them and Rodrigo Palacio added another to make it 1-3.

For the first time since 2008/09, Inter are undefeated in both their league meetings with the Bianconeri, as they recorded a 1-1 draw at home and emerged victorious from Allianz Stadium. On top of that, they also got the win in the Italian Super Cup final in January.

CALHANOGLU AND THE RETAKEN PENALTY

Hakan Calhanoglu put in a match-winning display on Sunday, as his third league penalty of the season (the others were against Milan and Napoli) gave Inter the decisive goal. The Turkish midfielder got a second chance at taking the penalty (read about how it happened here) as the referee called for it to be replayed. It was his seventh league goal of the season and it came four and a half minutes into first-half added time. That’s the latest Inter goal in the first half of a match since Opta started gathering this data in 2004/05.

The Turkish midfielder has converted each of his five penalties in Serie A (against Roma, Lazio, Milan, Napoli and Juventus). The Inter number 20 is the third Turkish player to score in Serie A against Juventus, after Sukru Gulesin in the 1950s and Can Bartu in 1963.

PERISIC REACHES 200 GAMES IN SERIE A

Ivan Perisic put in a classic monumental performance on Sunday, typified by his incredible defensive covering at one stage to stop Juventus from having an easy chance on goal. The game in Turin marked his 200th Serie A appearance in an Inter shirt, the third Croatian to reach these figures, after Marcelo Brozovic and Milan Badelj.

HANDANOVIC IN SEVENTH SPOT FOR ALL-TIME INTER LEAGUE APPEARANCES

Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic’s display against Juventus marked his 359th appearance in Serie A for Inter, taking him above Tarcisio Burgnich in the list of players with the most league games for the Nerazzurri.

The Inter Serie A appearance leaderboard is as follows: Javier Zanetti 615, Giuseppe Bergomi 519, Giacinto Facchetti 475, Sandro Mazzola 417, Mario Corso 413, Giuseppe Baresi 392, Samir Handanovic 359, Tarcisio Burgnich 358, Walter Zenga 328, Ivan Cordoba 323.
