Handanovic: "We need to look forward"

MILAN - Inter captain Samir Handanovic spoke to Inter TV after his side fell to defeat in the Milan derby. Despite dominating throughout the Nerazzurri ended up losing late on through two Oliver Giroud goals.

"That's football for you. We did everything we could; we were in control yet through some misplaced passes we were punished by Milan. We did so well and we could've easily been 2-0 up at the break but our game management in the final 15 minutes was poor.

"I think we played as we normally do; with strength, courage, and dominance. We need to forget about the latter part of the game and we need to analyse where we went wrong and why. We took risks where we shouldn't have and consequently we were punished.

"Now we turn our heads to Roma in the Coppa Italia, then after that it's Napoli and Liverpool. The games come thick and fast; we need to look at where we've gone wrong and then move on. We're already thinking about our next game."
