Felipe Caicedo’s arrival at Inter updates a statistic that embodies the club’s international nature and one of the values that has set it apart since its foundation: brothers and sisters of the world. The arrival of the Ecuadorian brings the number of different nationalities to represent the club, over its more than 100-year history, to 50.
Before the addition of Caicedo, the 1054 players who, in the post-war period, have been on the bench for at least one official Inter match came from 49 different countries. Two players in that list (Andreaw Gravillon, Guadeloupe; Jose Correia, Guinea-Bissau) have never taken to the field of play.
