It was love at first sight for Ivan Zamorano and Inter. After arriving from Real Madrid in the summer of 1996, from the moment the Chilean striker first wore the Nerazzurri shirt, he recognised the club's passion and values. His determination and attachment to the badge combined with his energy and leadership enabled him to make important contributions to Inter’s history. In 149 appearances in all competitions, the forward registered 41 goals, which were just as beautiful as his celebrations to share his joy with the Nerazzurri fans. Bam Bam made a crucial contribution to 1998 UEFA Cup triumph (scoring the first goal in the 3-0 win against Lazio in the final) and left his mark thanks to his attitude, temperament and a number that has gone down in history: 1+8.
