The Azzurri beat Belgium 2-1 in Turin

TURIN – An excellent goal from Nicolò Barella helped Italy to a third-place finish in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday afternoon.

The Inter midfielder opened the scoring early in the second period against Belgium in Turin, firing a fierce right-foot shot into the net from the edge of the area following a corner.

Domenico Berardi doubled Italy’s lead from the penalty spot, before Charles De Ketelaere pulled one back for the Belgians late on.

Barella remained on the pitch until the 70th minute while Alessandro Bastoni played the full 90 minutes.
