Thanks to his brace against Lazio, the Belgian reached a prestigious personal milestone

MILAN 300 career goals. Thanks to his brace against Lazio at San Siro (a precise finish from the penalty spot and a powerful right-footed effort), Romelu Lukaku reached a prestigious and important personal milestone. Since the start of his adventure in the professional game, the Belgian has scored 300 goals when both club and international fixtures are taken into account.

So far this season, Romelu Lukaku has bagged 22 goals in 29 appearances. In total, Big Rom has found the net 56 times (39 in Serie A, four in the Coppa Italia, six in the Champions League, seven in the Europa League) in 80 appearances for the Nerazzurri.

Born in Antwerp on 13 May 1993, he made his first-team debut for Anderlecht on 24 May 2009, when he was just 16 years and eleven days old. That day, he came on as a substitute in the 65th minute of the second leg of his team’s championship playoff showdown against Standard Liège.

Lukaku went on to play 98 times for Anderlecht, scoring 41 goals. In 2011, he moved to England after signing for Chelsea. He would spend nine seasons in the Premier League, featuring for Chelsea, West Bromwich, Everton and Manchester United during that time. Excluding his two spells at Chelsea, where he was unable to find the net in 15 appearances, Lukaku never finished a campaign with fewer than 15 goals in England. His best haul came in 2017/18, a season which saw him net 27 times in 51 fixtures for Manchester United.

His best season to date came last year, his first in an Inter shirt, which saw him score 34 goals in 51 matches.

In addition to his goalscoring exploits at club level, Lukaku has also enjoyed a prolific international career. His debut for the Red Devils came on 3 March 2010 (Belgium 0-1 Croatia). He’s since gone on to net 57 times in 89 appearances, making him Belgium’s all-time top goalscorer.

Lukaku’s 300-goal haul breaks down as follows: 57 goals for Belgium; 41 for Anderlecht; 87 for Everton; 17 for West Bromwich; 42 for Manchester United and 56 for Inter.
