An integrated tournament for boys and girls at special schools and at the Jadwiga sports club rounds off a wonderful week-long visit

Krakow – A splendid day of sun and clear skies was the natural setting for the tournament to bring boys and girls from all corners of the city together, to share joy, emotions and smiles among the small participants, as well as among parents who watched on from pitchside. It was not the first time that children with and without disabilities faced one another on the pitch, which was the latest demonstration that inclusive football is a feasible target that has been achieved here thanks to the relentless commitment by local coaches, who work on a weekly basis with the children to strengthen their motor, social, cognitive and emotional skills, allowing them to enjoy themselves while playing the beautiful game.

During the week-long visit as part of the first mission in Poland, the coaches from the Italian delegation were able to see how crucial the children’s enthusiast participation in the event was for them to develop the ability to be able to play on the fantastic 11-a-side pitch at the Jadwiga sports club.

The joy and delight among all participants (boys and girls, local coaches and partners, the Italian delegation, friends linked to the project, families) provided confirmation of the burning goal that underpins the Inter Campus Poland project: inclusive football.
