MILAN – To mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Inter have organised a series of initiatives for ASD Sporting 4E, the Special team that plays with the Nerazzurri jersey in the 7-a-side league run by the FIGC's Paralympic and Experimental Football Division.
The club, which has always stood up against all forms of discrimination, has moved once more to raise awareness and understanding of problems relating to disability, with the aim of safeguarding the dignity, rights and well-being of disabled persons. The activities have been run with the support of Pirelli, Inter's Global Tyre Partner.
In recent weeks, the Special team visited Inter HQ to receive their kit for the new season, with vice-president Javier Zanetti in attendance.
On Saturday 20 November ASD Sporting 4E took part in a special training session led by Inter Academy coaches while on Wednesday 1 December their season was officially kicked off when they appeared on the pitch at San Siro before the game between Inter and Spezia
These initiatives are part of the club's broader Corporate Social Responsibility programme, which includes running local projects which seek to provide concrete support to integration, social cohesion and the fight against all forms of discrimination.
