MILAN – Lautaro Martinez scores and Inter win. It's been the same pattern for the last three Serie A games, with another converted penalty against Spezia following the one he scored against Venezia at the weekend. He even topped off the performance with a delightful back-heel to set up Roberto Gagliardini for the opener.
Speaking to DAZN and Inter TV after the match, the Argentine said: “We did what we had to do, which was win the game in front of our fans, at our home. The pitch isn't in ideal condition and it wasn't easy to play our game. Hopefully it will improve because we're chasing big targets.
"It think this win is a signal to the rest of the league. Earlier in the season we dropped a few too many points. Now we've caught up with the top two. We're in good form at the moment. We're happy the fans enjoy watching us. We're creating lots of chances in every game. We're doing really well.
“Personally I've improved so much tactically and physically in the last few seasons. I try to show my worth every day and always give 100% for Inter.
“Now we need to rest and prepare for a tough match at Roma. We have to go there and make sure we come away with the three points.”
