Inter in Dubai: Italian Sports Day at EXPO and Inter Academy

Inter were guests on Italian Sports Day, which was organised at the Italian pavilion at EXPO2020 in Dubai. CEO Corporate Alessandro Antonello made a speech entitled "I M FC Internazionale Milano – representing the best of Italy on the pitch and the world over" on Italian Sports Day, an event dedicated to sporting excellence in Italy.
The initiative was to celebrate the very best of Italian sport with Inter the only club in attendance. The Scudetto trophy from 2020/21 was proudly on display at the Italian pavilion. The minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation Luigi Di Maio and undersecretary of state to the presidency of the council of ministers for sport, Valentina Vezzali were also in attendance.
Since the birth of Inter Academy Dubai, Inter’s journey to the UAE has provided an opportunity to consolidate the club’s activities in the region through a series of meetings and initiatives aimed at strengthening the connection between sport and the increasingly international nature of the Inter brand.
The club’s delegation was made up of CEO Corporate Alessandro Antonello, Chief Marketing Officer Luca Danovaro and Chief Communications Officer Matteo Pedinotti along with Yousuf Ali Behzad, Chairman of the Team Mind Sports Academy LLC, Inter’s partner for this project in the UAE, met the Director of Sport Development Department at the Dubai Sport Council Ali Omar AlBalooshi. It was a chance to reinforce Inter’s presence in the region, develop the Inter brand in the UAE and highlight the Inter Academy model through which young footballers are able to train in accordance with the high technical and ethical standards championed by Inter, under the watchful eye of club coaches who train local coaches.
