Inter Campus documentary El Mundo Es un Balon was the winner of this year's Gentleman Fair-Play Award at the Sport, Movies & TV 2021 festival.
The annual event Milan hosts the final of the World FICTS Challenge, the World Championship of Cinema, Television, Communication which includes 20 festivals across the globe, run by the Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs.
The award for El Mundo Es un Balon, whose beautiful footage depicts the wonderful work done by Inter Campus in aid of thousands of children in 30 countries, was collected by director Giulio Origlia and Inter Campus president Carlotta Moratti at the ceremony on Sunday evening.
Many prestigious sports, cinema and TV personalities attended the ceremony, including Real Madrid Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueno and actor Angelo Arcangeli, who played Roberto Baggio in the film Il Divin Codino.
The award ceremony opened with a video message by International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach and greetings from CONI vice-president Claudia Giordani and FICTS president Franco Ascani.
Inter Campus was not the only Nerazzurri documentary to claim an award: Armando Picchi. Un uomo libero, a feature film by Roberto Davide Papini about the Grande Inter captain, won the Guirlande d’Honneur prize in the Movies and TV Football Feature category.
