BREDA – Local team N.A.C. play in the second tier in the Netherlands and are well-known for a curious reason: their full name is the longest in football. It's an acronym, and despite the lengthy title its meaning boils down to a simple philosophy: keep going, never give up, and have fun.
Perhaps this is why they have so enthusiastically embraced hosting the EFDN (European Football for Development Network) conference, an event for those who truly believe that sport can be a platform on which development and inclusion can thrive.
Inter Campus were once again at the forefront of the 130 clubs, federations and institutional partners involved. The Nerazzurri presented the preliminary results of the social impact analysis carried out a few months ago in a collaboration with the University of Padua.
Future plans for sustainability, net zero and innovative projects in school backed by the most-cutting edge technology on offer were on the agenda, while current endeavours were also discussed, such as nutrition and health as well as diversity, through Show Racism the Red Card.
The next EFDN event will take place in Liverpool at the start of 2022.
