Stats and facts on how Simone Inzaghi's men have been getting on so far in 2021/22


MILAN – It's the third international break of the season in Serie A, with Inter having picked up 25 points from 12 matches: seven wins, four draws and one defeat. As for the Champions League, Simone Inzaghi's men sit second in their group on seven points, two behind Real Madrid who are on nine.

Inter have scored 29 goals in the league, making their attack the best in the division. Combined with their efforts in the Champions League, the Nerazzurri have 15 different goalscorers among their ranks. Since the last international break four more Inter players have found the net for the first time this season: Alexis Sanchez, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefan de Vrij and Danilo D'Ambrosio.

Dzeko has scored eight times this campaign, making him Inter's top marksman ahead of Martinez on 5 and Correa on 4. The Argentine has scored two braces, against Verona and Udinese.

Nicolo Barella has racked up more minutes than any other outfield player, ahead of defenders Skriniar and De Vrij, with fellow Brozovic second to him among the midfielders. While Croat has covered more ground than any other player in Serie A at an average of 11.58 kilometres per game, Barella leads the assists chart. 

Since the last international break seven Inter players have found the net after coming off the bench: Sanchez against Sheriff, Vidal against Genoa, Correa against Hellas Verona, and Dzeko against both Bologna and Sassuolo.

Inter still hold the record for most headed goals so far this season in Serie A: eight. These were scored by Dzeko (3), Skriniar (2), Martinez (1), Correa (1) and D'Ambrosio (1).
