The kids in Kathmandu are able to take part in activities regularly again thanks to an easing of local restrictions

Nepal's recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic has been long and slow. Sadly, the country has witnessed periods of temporary respite followed by a fresh tightening of restrictions and Inter Campus' work at two state schools in Kathmandu – Beersheba and Jeevan Tara – has naturally followed suit.

However, thanks to recent improvements in the health situation and general re-opening of the country, we have now been able to resume our sports and educational activities on a regular basis. The boys and girls of Kathmandu are finally able to train every week again – in alternate groups, following all the safety protocol, but with no less enthusiasm.

That same enthusiasm can be seen in our local coaches and is an essential component in the fight against gender discrimination – the main social goal of the project and one our local partner Apeiron ODV has been pursuing for over 20 years.

The smiles on their faces and the positivity in the air suggest Inter Campus Nepal has a bright future.
