Marcelo Brozovic made his 250th appearance in all competitions for Inter in the Nerazzurri’s Champions League match with Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday evening.
Born in Zagreb on 16 November 1992, Brozovic joined Inter from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015.
Brozovic made his Serie A debut for the Nerazzurri in the No.77 jersey on 1 February 2015, in a home defeat by Sassuolo. His first goal in Inter colours came against Empoli on the final day of the 2014/15 season.
The Croatian soon became a mainstay of the Inter midfield, scoring seven goals during the 2015/16 season – still his best tally since joining the club – and he later played a key role in our Scudetto victory in the 2020/21 campaign.
Brozovic’s 250 appearances include 204 in Serie A, 17 in the Coppa Italia, 19 in the Champions League and 10 in the Europa League. The Croatian has scored a total of 25 goals for the club, including 20 in Serie A, four in the Coppa Italia and one in the Europa League.
Brozovic has made 66 appearances and scored seven goals for the Croatian national team and was part of the side that made it to the World Cup final in 2018.
