APPIANO GENTILE - Facundo Colidio is back at Inter this pre-season after two campaigns with Belgian outfit Sint-Truiden – and the 21-year-old Argentine is loving the experience of training with the Nerazzurri so far.
“It’s always nice to get back into training after the holidays, but more than anything it’s great to come back to Inter,” said Colidio. “There are some top players here who I can draw inspiration from – training with them helps me to improve. I’ve been able to see a few team-mates I’ve played with in previous seasons too, so it’s been really exciting. My aim is to continue to improve, for myself and for the team.”
Colidio also looked back on his stint at Sint-Truiden.
“My two seasons in Belgium were my first in the professional game,” he said. “It was an important two seasons that helped me a lot in terms of growing personally and gaining more experience.”
Last but not least, Colidio had a word for his Argentina compatriots after their Copa America triumph.
“I’m delighted that Argentina won the Copa America – it was a deserved victory,” he said. “I was here for the training camp but I watched the game overnight. It was a wonderful feeling.”
