Calhanoglu: "Inter are a great club with great fans"

APPIANO GENTILE – Hakan Calhanoglu took some time out from training with his new team-mates to chat to Inter TV about his first few days at the club.

The Turkey midfielder joined up with the squad a little later, on Tuesday, due to his involvement at EURO 2020.

“I'm getting to know everyone here,” he began. It's a new experience and I'm really enjoying it – I feel at home. My team-mates are helping me. I've met the coach and the staff. I'm grateful to them all because they're making everything easier for me in this initial settling-in period. 

“Playing for Inter means playing for the reigning champions and I so hope we can win it again this season. Inter are a great club with great fans. We'll work hard every day to make sure we're ready to have a good league campaign.”

Hakan went to explained his choice of shirt number, before discussing his goals for the season ahead.

“I've always worn No.10 but since it's already taken here I'll wear two 10s – No.20.

“I hope my team-mates and I don't suffer any injuries because then we can play at our best, try to win the Scudetto again and do well in the Champions League.”
