— Jun 22nd 2021A 3-1 victory for the Croats, who have progressed to the round of 16
An important win for Brozovic and Perisic’s Croatia, who, thanks to a 3-1 win over Scotland, progressed to the round of 16 stage of Euro 2020 in second place in Group D (behind England). Both Nerazzurri players took to the pitch, with Perisic playing an especially important role: after providing the assist for Vlasic for Croatia’s opener, he put the game to bed with the final goal of the match (McGregor got on the scoresheet for Scotland and Modric for the Croats in between). Having set up a teammate to score on three occasions in European Championship tournaments, the Nerazzurri wideman has become Croatia’s all-time top assist provider in the competition. He’s also been directly involved in each of the past four goals scored by his country at the Euros (two goals, two assists). Marcelo Brozovic, meanwhile, played the full 90 minutes.
