Marotta and the Scudetto snapshot: “This tricolour on the trophy is a work of art. It’s a decisive moment”

MILAN - “As the Coach said, this Scudetto is an incredible work of art.” That is how Sporting CEO at Inter, Giuseppe Marotta, summarised the Nerazzurri’s Serie A triumph in 2020/21.  

He added, in front of the Inter TV microphones: “It was an extraordinary achievement, born out of the brilliant work-ethic and sense of belonging that we all feel here. This Scudetto is just reward for the Club, the Coach, the players and, of course, our fans.”

“We had already laid the foundations last year through Conte’s hard work and the growth has been built on to a great extent this year, allowing us to build a squad with amazing togetherness. That is what has allowed us to overcome the difficult moments and achieve this success.”

What is the key snapshot of the season? Marotta is clear on that: “When we beat Juventus emphatically by two goals to nil, I believe that was the moment where our conviction began to be very strong. That win gave us the belief and from there we started a fantastic journey towards getting this title, with a huge margin over our rivals.”
