MILAN – Inter refuse to be stopped! After their success against Sampdoria, the Nerazzurri once again emerged victorious at home, beating Roma 3-1 to record their 15th consecutive win at San Siro in Serie A. Indeed, thanks to goals from Brozovic, Vecino and Lukaku, Conte’s men moved up to 88 points in the league following their 27th league victory of the season.
In our Twitter poll, you could vote for the player who you thought performed best yesterday evening and the winner was... Lukaku!
Four Nerazzurri are in contention to pick up the award:
Brozovic 27.4%| The Croat showed plenty of character and broke the deadlock with his second goal of the season.
Vecino 15.6% | On his second start since returning from injury, the Uruguayan found the net to continue his scoring success against the teams from the capital. Indeed, a third of the goals he’s bagged for Inter in the league have come against Roma (three out of nine), while six of the 18 goals he’s netted in the Italian top flight have been against either Roma or Lazio.
Lukaku 32.4% | His goal to put the game to bed was his 28th in all competitions this season. He’s scored 22 in the league, 15 of which have come at San Siro. In the last 16 years, no Inter player has registered more assists in a single Serie A season (like the Belgian striker, Maicon also provided eleven in 2009/10).
Ranocchia 24.6% | An attentive display from the Italian as part of a solid backline. The Nerazzurri continue to have the best defence in the league.
