Radu: “An incredible feeling, one I have dreamt of for so long”

MILAN - Another first for Ionut Radu: after his “second” Inter debut when he came on as a sub against Sampdoria, tonight the Romanian goalkeeper stepped out for his first start in an Inter shirt; and, incidentally, he also conceded his first goal as Inter keeper. It’s a goal that will not have hurt him too much, as Inter ran out 3-1 winners over Roma. The 23-year old told Inter TV of his pride: “To start a game for Inter is a feeling that I cannot put into words: I have dreamt of this moment since my arrival in Italy.”

Brozovic’s goal in the game tonight started with Radu: 24 passes preceded the Croat’s goal, with the ball twice finding itself at the feet of the Romanian goalkeeper. “It was an excellent goal, the kind that we have worked on in training. The Coach always repeats: winning breeds winning. We work hard to do well, and that comes out on the pitch.”

Inter keep going and now face Juventus in their next assignment: “It is a game that is different from all the others. We always have to be on the ball.”
