MILAN - A fifteenth consecutive home win for Inter, who keep taking three points even after being crowned champions. At the Meazza, on the final midweek matchday in 2020/21, Antonio Conte's boys won 3-1 thanks to goals from Brozovic, Vecino and Lukaku.
Following the game, Inter's Assistant Coach Stellini analysed the win: "The attitude on display today is what we want to see and have asked for since day one. In a moment as full of joy as this, with nothing to lose, it's even better to see a team that never gives up. This is all part of the growth that we need to show and of the work the Coach has done since the very first moment. Mentality is the most important thing and we always want the boys to play to win, to break down opponents and to dominate games.
"After taking the lead, we did really well to find our spine and get more compact when Roma got a goal back. The boys did really well to get this win."
Finally, a word of praise for Matias Vecino, who has found the net again following his return: "Matias has been out through injury but he's always worked hard and has done really well to wait for his moment. Now, that moment has come and he was ready, as he always is. He's a lad that deserves better and has to be praised, but he's not the only one in this group. Ranocchia has had two great games too, as well as Pinamonti, who showed today that he has developed a lot and that he's a lad with bags of potential."
