FLORENCE – Ivan Perisic scored his third goal of the season this evening: after goals against Parma and Real Madrid, the Croat made his mark at the Franchi, netting Inter's second following a Hakimi assist. Fiorentina are one of his favourite teams to play against; he has now scored four goals against the Viola.
Perisic’s second half was excellent: on top of his goal, he was involved in several dangerous attacks and even provided cover in defence. After the match, the Croat spoke with Sky Sport: "We played well, creating many chances today. We could have killed off the match a little earlier, but the three points arrived anyway and that was the important thing".
Inter are back in action on Tuesday in Turin, where they will take on Juventus in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final: "This game is an immediate test; it is very important. Every week, we concentrate on doing our work and winning game after game, we are on the right path and we want to go on like this. There are still many games and we must always have the right approach, always thinking of winning. We can no longer make any mistakes".
Speaking to Inter TV, Ivan added: "The match was complicated up until the second goal. We all ran a lot; I had to come off with a little cramp, but it's nothing serious. On Tuesday, I'll be ready. I'm learning a lot in this role and it's nice when you score, but the important thing is always the victory".
The Coppa Italia is coming up on Tuesday: "A few years ago, we lost 3-0 in Turin and before the return leg I told Brozovic: 'Anything is possible'. Then, we won 3-0 at San Siro, only going out on penalties. Today, I will say it again: if we begin well, we can do it. Juve are a strong team but we are able to do good and important things."
