— Feb 1st 2021The third strategic meeting for the sub-Saharan African countries involved after an exchange of greetings to kick things off
MILAN – January came to an end with a third strategic meeting with partners from Angola, Cameroon, Congo and Uganda, the countries involved in the Africa Nerazzurra project, which is being co-financed by the UEFA Foundation for Children.
The objective of the next few months is to promote resilience in children through the medium of sport, with the specific expertise of every local partner and Inter’s experience in combining sport with education serving as starting points. With this in mind, the project in Congo, which sees Inter Campus work alongside Alba Onlus and involves 180 children and seven coaches, will aim to further explore how football can be used to promote integration and education, important social issues in the city of Lubumbashi and surrounding areas.
The meeting provided an opportunity for our partners to meet the UEFA representatives who have been accompanying us behind the scenes for several months now and who wanted to personally greet the Inter Campus delegations working on the project. While it was a quick exchange before the meeting began, it was undoubtedly very motivational.
