MILAN - Inter ended the first half of the season with a draw in Udine. It was a result that saw the Nerazzurri reach 41 points after the first 19 Serie A matchdays, two behind AC Milan. Antonio Conte’s side have a record of twelve wins, five draws and two defeats so far this season. Inter, who have the division’s best attack with 45 goals scored, have seen twelve different players get on the scoresheet in the league so far: Lukaku (12), Lautaro (9), Hakimi (6), D’Ambrosio (3), Barella (2), Gagliardini (2), Skriniar (2), Sanchez (2), Perisic (1), de Vrij (1), Vidal (1), Brozovic (1) and three own goals (Ceccherini, Chiriches and Marrone).
Those 45 goals make up Inter’s best tally in the first half of a Serie A season since 1950/51 (46).
From 2010/11 to now, this is the third time that Inter have taken at least 40 points in the first half of the season in Serie A: 41 in 2017/18, 46 last season and 41 during the current campaign.
Inter’s twelve wins in their first 19 games is not a Club record, given that the Nerazzurri have done better on four occasions: 2006/07, 2007/08, 2009/10 and 2019/20.
