Inter Campus in schools

— Jan 22nd 2021A meeting with pupils from Figino Serenza secondary school to talk about sport and the social objectives of the Nerazzurri project
The invite came from exercise science teacher Oscar Pedretti, who, as well as teaching PE, involves his classes in moments of reflection and insight into social themes. In fact, during the online presentation of the Inter Campus Mission in Italy and the world, even though it was held outside of school hours, 65 students were in attendance.
After an introduction on the history and methods of the Project, the overview opened up on the various countries and relative objectives according to their areas of intervention. These ranged from the story of the Russian reality where children with intellectual disabilities play, requiring a specific approach both at an emotional and motor level, to the problems relating to literacy and health protection of children in the Ugandan project; from support for education in Bolivia to ethno-religious integration in Bosnia & Herzegovina, and finally Israel and Palestine, where the focus is on intercultural and religious dialogue and the facilitation of peace processes.
There was no shortage of questions from the young people whose curiosity was shown both with regard to the type of skills and knowledge that Project Managers and Technical Managers must have in order to carry out their role in the Project, and with regard to the nature of the objectives and the possibility of intervention.
We hope to follow up on this first meeting with more moments of deeper insight!
