FLORENCE – He came on in the second half and, as usual, was full of running down the flank, also coming close to scoring on two occasions. Achraf Hakimi made a big impact during Inter’s round of 16 clash against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia. After the game, the Nerazzurri No.2 gave his thoughts to Inter TV: “The objective was to qualify for the next round, so we’re happy that we’ve managed to win. We knew that it’d be a difficult knockout encounter and one which could go beyond 90 minutes. Now, we need to rest up and prepare as best we can for our fixture against Juventus on Sunday. It’ll be a great match, and we’ll do everything we can to win.”
Inter will face AC Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals: “It’ll be another difficult game, they’re doing well and it’ll be another life-or-death encounter. We want to win, our objective is to go all the way and win this competition so our fans can celebrate a trophy success.”
Vidal scored his first Nerazzurri goal: “I’m happy for him, Arturo is an important player for us. I hope that this goal is the first of many, with both him and the team in mind. He’s received a lot of criticism but is strong, he knows how to react. The fact he scored will give him even more confidence.”
