Inter eSports: Weekend League and the FIFA eClub World Cup
Team
— Jan 12th 2021An intense week for our pros: here's how they got on
Last week we experienced a lot of great matches in the FIFA 21 scene. Our Inter eSports pros put a lot of hours into the game and got some great results. We are over the moon with their performances; let’s see how they got on.
FIFA 21 Weekend League
Let's start with the FIFA 21 Weekend League, where players have to play up to 30 games to see where they finish in the standings. Manoel Neto had a perfect weekend and won all his 30 games. Nicolas Velasco and Levy Frederique also played like gladiators and finished with a result of 29-1. Pedro Resende ended up in Elite 2 with a result of 25-5.
FIFAe Club World Cup
Besides the weekly battle in the Weekend League, we were also competing in the FIFA eClub World Cup. Levy and Manoel represented the Nerazzurri in the European competition and fought hard. They won their two games against FC Ingolstadt and GMR. In a tough battle against DUX Gaming, they lacked that little bit of luck to come away with a victory, likewise against Exalty.
In the South American competition, Pedro and Lucas - the player on loan from our eSports partner Bundled - went for a perfect streak. Inter’s eSports pros won all of their matches. They cruised to victory in three of the four games, while the fourth was a close-run affair, but also ended with a win. With those results, the players are happy to end the week on top of the league in Conference 3 Division 1 and are one step more close to qualification for the FIFA eClub World Cup.
eSerie A is coming up
Beside the busy schedules of our players, there is a new big event coming up. The eSerie A will kick off soon. Before the first match, there will be the draft among the best players of the online qualifier. In this draft, the teams can select who will join the pro players and compete for them. Unfortunately, Inter eSports have been assigned with the final spot. With our top-level coach, Thomas Janthana, we will do our best to scout the best player from the 32 finalists, which we can all watch during the Draft Showdown, a competition to be held on 12 and 13 January on the official Serie A Twitch and YouTube channels.
