MILAN – The 2019/20 European nights seen with a special, exclusive perspective. With Euro Nights we’ll bring you back to the heart of the action, as if you were practically on the pitch. We kick off with the two games in the Champions League 2019/20 against Slavia Prague.
The first match, at San Siro, was this season’s first game in Europe's top competition. It was a difficult, hard-fought match that ended in a 1-1 draw which was tinged with both relief and regret. The guests took the lead in the 63rd minute via Olayinka and it took a great effort from the Nerazzurri to equalise with an onslaught in the final minutes of the game. Sensi’s free kick onto the crossbar followed by Barella’s volley from the rebound led to the 1-1 scoreline. Romelu Lukaku’s joy after the Nerazzurri’s equaliser stands out amongst the exclusive images from that night.
The return to Prague brings sweet memories for Antonio Conte’s team, who won 3-1 on that late November night thanks to Lautaro Martinez’s brace and Lukaku’s goal, with the Belgian providing the two assists for ‘El Toro’. With Euro Nights you can truly feel the strong emotions of that second half in Prague: Lukaku smashing into the empty net, the team’s jubilation and embraces.
