MILAN – 200 Inter appearances in all competitions: Andrea Ranocchia reached this important milestone as he took to the pitch against Ludogorets.
Ranocchia joined Inter from Genoa in the January transfer window in 2011 after also having spells at Arezzo and Bari. Born in 1988, he made his debut in Catania 1-2 Inter, a match decided by Esteban Cambiasso’s brace. Since 2011, Ranocchia has gone out on loan twice: he played for Sampdoria from January to June 2016 and for Hull City from January to June 2017.
Ranocchia won the 2011 Coppa Italia with the Nerazzurri and started in the final against Palermo at the Olimpico in Rome, a game which Inter won 3-1.
Ranocchia has featured five times for the Nerazzurri this season, with Inter winning all five of those games. The Italian defender has also got on the scoresheet, netting in the Coppa Italia against Cagliari. In total, Ranocchia has bagged twelve goals for the Nerazzurri since he joined the Club. Ranocchia’s 200 games have come in the following competitions: Serie A (x151), the Europa League (x20), the Coppa Italia (x17), the Champions League (x6), the preliminary stages of the Europa League (x5) and the Supercoppa Italiana (x1).
