The defender after Inter-Torino: "We did well to turn the match around but we can't give opponents the lead"

MILAN - After three wins with Italy, AlessandroBastoni was back to enjoy victory with the Nerazzurri. The 21-year-old defender played an important part in Inter’s 4-2 comeback win over Torino on matchday eight of the Serie A season.

“We certainly started badly, we got our approach to the match wrong,” said the defender to Inter TV. “We were perhaps impacted by our commitments in the international break, which a lot of us played in. It’s not an excuse, but it can have an influence. We then did well to turn things around in the second half. We can’t let our opponents go ahead, that can’t happen. There are another nine matches now from here to Christmas and we'll have to approach them as though they’re finals. We’ll try to win them all.”

Finally, he also looked back on a busy week in an Italy shirt. “It was a bit surprising as I was originally going to go with the Under-21s before finding myself playing three in three for the senior side, which is a dream for anybody. I’m happy, but now I want to focus on Inter.”
