ITALY HIT FOUR AS BASTONI MAKES HIS DEBUT
Italy ran out comfortable 4-0 winners in a friendly against Estonia at the Stadio Armenio Franchi in Florence. Grifo (a brace, with the second goal coming from the penalty spot), Bernardeschi and Orsolini (penalty) all got on the scoresheet for the Azzurri, who were without Head Coach Mancini. It was an evening to remember for Alessandro Bastoni, who made his senior Italy debut. Wearing the number 13 shirt, the defender played the full 90 minutes and initially lined up alongside Danilo D’Ambrosio, who was taken off in the 79th minute. Roberto Gagliardini also stayed on for the duration of the match and won the penalty for the goal that made it 3-0. Italy are now unbeaten in 20 games.
