MILAN – The Inter Academy project continues to expand in Russia, with sites in Moscow and Novosibirsk set to join the existing hub in Saint Petersburg.
Both Inter Academy Moscow and Inter Academy Novosibirsk have been set up in partnership with Golden Ball 2010 LLC, who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of both hubs on the ground. The opening of the two new sites means that local children in Moscow and Novosibirsk will have the chance to train according to the high technical and ethical standards synonymous with Inter while remaining in their own countries.
The opening of two new Inter Academies in Russia further expands the Inter Academy project, which is continuing to develop despite the current international crisis associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The launch of these two new projects represents an important new step in the development of the Inter Academy project around the world, as well as consolidating our presence in Russia,” said FC Internazionale Milano Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello. “We’re delighted that our partners at Golden Ball 2010 LLC have bought into our philosophy and the project as a whole, providing children from Moscow and Novosibirsk with the chance to join the Nerazzurri family.”
“We’re very proud to have the chance to bring the professional methodology of Inter to Moscow and Novosibirsk,” said Jordi Gratacos, the founder and general manager of Golden Ball 2010 LLC. “We have no doubt that this is a huge opportunity for the children in the two Russian cities. They will be exposed to the methodology of a cutting-edge club, learn about sporting values and develop as part of a historic club – one of the best in the world. This is a wonderful day and we’re delighted that we can share it with you.”
The Inter Academy team will initially oversee the project from Italy, staying in constant contact with the local partners and organising webinars to provide training to local coaches and young players.
