MILAN – On 23 December 2007, Inter came from behind to beat Milan thanks to goals from Cruz and Cambiasso. But the excitement wasn’t just limited to what happened during the match. Indeed, we’ve delved into our archives and found a special press review from “Cuchu” Cambiasso after that Derby.
Ahead of Saturday’s matchday four showdown against Pioli’s team, we’re returning to the victory we achieved against our cross-city rivals 13 years ago.
Pirlo gave the Rossoneri the lead with 18 minutes on the clock. Then, the Nerazzurri poured forward and scored an equaliser through Cruz, who, surrounded by three defenders, finished off Cambiasso’s pass.
The same duo were then involved in Inter’s winner.
Cruz crossed the ball in from the left, Maldini headed it out. Then, Cambiasso latched onto the ball and fired past Dida to win it for the hosts.
